I removed direct media key handling that wasn't working on Bazzite or NixOS in favor of registering MPRIS via DBus for a better integration with the GNOME desktop. This includes more convenient features like station switching with next/previous keys. This gets GSConnect (remote control from phone) and global media key support for free while interacting nicely with other media players. It listens for play request or play/pause media key while stopped so you can start the radio stream instantly from anywhere if no other media player was interacted with more recently.
