How to build custom kernel for B860H (Amlogic s905x)

Hi Ophub team / community,

I am currently running Armbian on a B860H (Amlogic s905x) and I want to build a custom Linux kernel.

I have cloned the repository and looked at the scripts, but I am not sure about the proper steps to compile the kernel only (without building a full Armbian image) and how to apply custom patches.

Could you provide a step-by-step guide or point me to the recommended method to:

1. Build the kernel for B860H using this repository.
2. Apply additional patches correctly.
3. Make sure the DTB files are compatible with the board.

Any advice or examples would be greatly appreciated.
