Proposal: Replace archived SteamDB/AugmentedSteam plugin sources with maintained forks

I’d like to discuss whether PluginDatabase should switch source references for these plugins to actively maintained forks:

• Steam-SteamDB-extension

  • archived upstream: https://github.com/BossSloth/Steam-SteamDB-extension
  • maintained fork: https://github.com/iFleey/Steam-SteamDB-extension

• AugmentedSteam-Extension-Plugin

  • archived upstream: https://github.com/BossSloth/AugmentedSteam-Extension-Plugin
  • maintained fork: https://github.com/iFleey/AugmentedSteam-Extension-Plugin

Context:

• Both plugins were modernized for current Millennium runtime expectations.
• Backend/runtime compatibility and CI/release flow were updated.
• Upstream archived repos are no longer receiving maintenance updates.

Question:
Would you like PluginDatabase entries to be replaced with these maintained sources?

If yes, I can open a PR immediately with:

1. source/release URL replacement,
2. clear migration notes,
3. no plugin-ID behavior break unless explicitly requested.

I'll have to think about this - not sure what the best approach is.

The current plan

Extendium will supersed SteamDB and Augmented Steam, meaning both will be removed and merged with Extendium.
We are simply waiting on Extendium to be ported to Lua for these changes to be made.

No problem, it's okay because this is actually an attempt I made based on the async-ffi branch to better understand how to adapt and develop a plugin lol.
